I was an Officer onboard several Cruise Ships. My position as a Purser Guest Relations Officer aboard Several Ships included numerous critical responsibilities. I also managed the shore tours information and onboard group coordinator logistics. In later years I changed to a new position within a third party cruise ship concession. I was in charge of organizing and coordinating onboard Fine Art Auctions aboard several different cruise ships and cruise lines. In the course of my ten years onboard I assisted over one hundred thousand Guests with their questions and concerns while giving expert advise.

I presently resides in the suburbs of Chicago with my husband Shawn and two mischievous dogs, Jaco and Marley. I have a passion for travel, shopping, shoes, art collecting and interior design. Come and see what my experience can do for you!

For the last four years I have been working for Royal Caribbean International as a Musician. During my time with Royal Caribbean, I have been on six ships. I have been on cruises anywhere from two days all the way up to sixteen day Atlantic crossings. This has given me the opportunity to experience many ports across the world on four different continents. I feel that the knowledge that I have gained through my time working with Royal Caribbean will allow me to better serve clients in building their "Dream Vacation."

Before working on ships, I was a musician at Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim, California. If a Disney Resort is in your travel plans, I am confident that you will be pleased to have a former Disney employee help you with your vacationing needs.

For the past 5 years I have had the pleasure of working aboard cruise ships. I began as a dancer in the featured production shows and for the past 2 years I have been working as a marketing manager for the fine art programs onboard. These positions have given me the ability to interact with guests in order to find out what gives them the best cruise experience. In my spare time onboard I enjoyed exploring all the different destinations in order to find all the hidden treasures each country has to offer.

I now live in Vancouver Canada where I can re-explore the city I was born in. My passions include dancing, fashion, art and helping people find their dream cruise vacation.

I love maps. In fact, during my years of working on cruise ships, I collected maps of all shapes and sizes from around the world. (Consequentially, I discovered that maps are a poor collector’s item, unless you own a mansion with lots of wall space). My love of maps stems from my passion for travel and my drive to experience the diversity of life. That passion drove me to work on cruise ships for five years. I served on multiple cruise lines and traveled to over 30% of the planet. I was paid to see the world and to give world-class service and I loved every moment.

After five years of globe trotting and making incredible friends on-board I felt the need to grow some roots. I am now back home with family and friends in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I’m still having fun, and I have certainly found some roots – I will be a happy father by year’s end! So while I’m no longer on the high seas, I still get the thrill of sending others across the map on exciting escapes. Feel free to contact me. I began my travel endeavors in 2000 with Renaissance Cruise Lines in Tahiti and I have had the cruising bug ever since. Over the years while onboard I managed the entire staff of musicians in the position of Musical Director (studied Trumpet Performance at the University of Washington) on Holland America, Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity and Princess Cruise Lines. I loved the freedom my position gave me to meet and mingle with new people creating a memorable experience with everyone I encountered aboard. I love to Scuba Dive and more importantly golf. While onboard I would assist the onboard Golf Pro ashore which gave me access to some of the greatest golf courses throughout the world.

In addition I also assisted the onboard Cruise Line Vacation Specialists with booking Guests on future cruises. I was born and raised in Seattle WA where at a young age lost my left leg due to spinal meningitis. Being a crew member with a prosthetic leg made me very aware of what ships have to offer travelers with disabilities and what passengers should know prior to and when cruising. I have since returned to land where I now live and work in New York City. Along with working full time I am a sponsored adaptive sports athlete, play wheelchair basketball for the New York Knicks, still enjoy travel, live music, great food and making the most of life. Having met so many guests on ships I know my services as a Concierge will provide you with the perfect cruise.

Leif and Yuliya Rydfors are one of the greatest dynamic duos to sail the seven seas! Leif speaks six languages fluently and has lived in four continents during his life. He has worked both as a Cruise Director and Art Director on over 4 major cruise lines and 20 cruise ships in the past 8 years. Additionally Yuliya is fluent in Russian and has worked in casino management on several ships. We both have extensive travel experience in the Caribbean, South America, Alaska, Baltic, Africa, Europe, Hawaii, Black Sea, and the Mediterranean. We met and became a couple while crewmembers onboard the M/S Norwegian Jewel in 2006.

We have since been married and have a great understanding of a family cruise vacation. We also live in Miami, which is the largest cruise hub in the world! Given our open schedule we are always available to help, and can give you not only first hand knowledge of the cruise ships and itineraries, but also of the culture, sights, and geography of each country. We have been to over 120 countries around the world and have first hand knowledge of interesting sights, tours and culture. Leif received his degree in cross-cultural psychology from Georgetown University which awarded him a great understanding of world cultures and the ability to guide you through the best vacation experience ever!

Raised on the family farm in Iowa, I had big dreams of traveling and seeing the world. After leaving school, I moved to Texas and started working in radio, television, and film. Quite by chance, I was contacted by a cruise line recruiter and joined the ship a mere two weeks later. On the second day aboard, bound for beautiful Key West, I witnessed a pair of dolphins playing in the wake. That was it, signaling that the cruise ship life was for me.

Over the next four and a half years, I served as Broadcast Technician and later Broadcast Manager aboard several Royal Caribbean ships. This means I was in charge of everything video related on board, from satellite television reception to theater support for the headlining shows. But the best part was mingling with the guests at all the activities in order to create the “Cruise In Review” video. While creating the weekly TV programming, I learned much more about the shopping and shore excursions than someone with much less access. Once again shoreside in Texas, I would now like to share my knowledge to help you customize the best cruise experience for yourself.

I started singing and dancing on cruise ships just after college, beginning with Carnival Cruise Lines’ (CCL) premier vessel the TSS Mardi Gras, back in 1988. Hooked on travel, sun and fun, I continued, bouncing around between several cruise lines including Royal Cruise Lines, Discovery Cruises, and two contracts with Royal Caribbean. Finally becoming a full-fledged CCL employee in 1996, I spent another 10 years (18 years total) at sea with CCL.

I now reside in the Miami area with Melvin (Please see Melvin Baerga’s information below), I enjoyed coordinating thousands of Guest Activities onboard many ships. I have met well over one hundred thousand Guests aboard dozens of ships, this experience has given me a unique insight to what cruiser really want. In addition being a crew member who is also part of “Friends of Dorothy” I personally traveled to exclusive resorts and establishments throughout the ports of call. Born and raised in Puerto Rico I left my home to begin my career with Carnival Cruise Lines on the M/S Celebration. I started in 1995 as a dancer in the onboard Las Vegas Revue shows. After enjoying the relaxing Caribbean atmosphere for several years, I began to set my sights higher, and became a Dance Captain in 2002. I enjoyed the demands of leadership and being in charge of the cast of singers and dancers (both onstage and off) for over four years. My duties also included being heavy involved in nearly a thousand onboard activities. I not only enjoyed entertaining the Guests onstage but the interaction and heart felt memories with guests off the stage. Finally retiring from the physically demanding life of a dancer, I moved shore side in 2006.

I now reside in the Miami area with Matthew (Please see Matthew Dulian’s information above), I have met thousands of Guests onboard many ships at sea, leaving me with great memories and knowledge of how to please future cruisers! In addition being a crew member who is also part of “Friends of Dorothy” Matthew and I personally traveled to exclusive resorts and establishments throughout the ports of call. I began my career aboard cruise ships in 2002, first as a Casino Croupier and eventually as Art Auctioneer. For the next seven years, my travels would take me to more than 60 countries across the globe, spanning all 7 continents; including several trips into the Arctic Circle and a Princess Cruise Line Maiden Voyage into the Antarctic. By some incredible stroke of luck, each contract’s itinerary somehow proved to be more amazing than the previous one!

Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada- my passions lay in snowboarding, hiking, photography and the arts. Given the travel opportunity of a lifetime, I stepped off the gangway each day with this idea in mind: “Should I never return to this port again, at least I can say I did...” Remember, you may only be in that exotic and fascinating destination once! I was born and raised in Dublin’s fair city. With fifteen years of onboard experience behind me it now gives me great pleasure to be able to serve you as part of the Zanza family. I first joined RCI’s “Sun Viking” in 1992 in the dining department which was a great introduction to quality customer service. After a few contracts I decided to return to my chosen profession and joined the Photography department, moving rapidly through the ranks to become Photo Manager in just over a year. I remained in this capacity until 2008 when I decided to settle back in Dublin after the birth of my daughter in April.

As the Photo Manager I was part of the onboard management team within the Hotel Department, contributing ideas and ensuring that guests received quality service and a great vacation experience week after week. I have cruised extensively in Europe, Alaska, and the Caribbean.

My passion is of course, photography, especially travel photography, my hobbies include cycling and running. I completed the NYC marathon in November 2007, my first marathon at the tender age of 50, in 4 hours 7 minutes, raising over $4000 for Marie Curie Cancer from fellow crew members and the onboard photo concession. I plan to compete in the Dublin Marathon in October this year. I now live in Dublin and have a holiday home in Portugal. I’ve been working as an entertainer on Cruise ships for over eight years. I’ve been to nearly every cruise destination available on four different cruise lines. This opportunity has made me very knowledgeable in a large variety of ports, as well as the onboard activities and entertainment programs that are offered. I speak with hundreds of cruisers every week which keeps me up to date with their expectations.

My desire to travel has brought me to live in the major port of Vancouver BC Canada where I have stayed for twenty years.

I started cruising in 1997, fulfilling the positions of Social Host, Back Stage Production Manager, Group Coordinator, Assistant Cruise Director, Cruise Director and Art Auctioneer. I have long enjoyed entertaining and assisting guests while providing them with an experience of a lifetime.
